Purchased by St Thomas Church in 2015 with a mission to transform and redeem the former Mitre public house into a bright and multifunctional space.

10 years later, this space looks very different. And it’s exactly what we envisioned: good coffee, good people. Getting good things done.

It wasn’t all plain sailing, of course. During some tricky times in the pandemic, we had to come up with ways to welcome more people - to meet them where they’re at. To give them the support they need. We’re a diverse space which funds and fuels the ongoing story of new life.

We’re proud to support the community through our:

• Facilities - we’ve got hot showers if you need one. No questions asked.

As you can probably tell, social and environmental justice is important to us. That’s why our profits go into the pockets of wonderful organisations that do their best for those around us.

Plus, we partner with (and host) local charities, equipping and resourcing them to keep on making a difference.
